"Shhhh - she didn't hear the cookie jar clang, did she?" Shaking her head, the youngster and her sister munched on chocolate cookies, never believing they would be caught, that is, not until they heard the footsteps coming closer and closer.

What you do in secret always finds a way into the open. For some, that is a frightening thought. But as a believer, your secret life should only be filled with good things. In secret is when you have the opportunity to develop yourself. You can use that time to:

1.   Pray

2.   Study the Word of God

3.   Learn new skills

4.   Become a person of Godly character

 

God is faithful. He will not forget how hard you work for Him, nor will He allow the law of sowing and reaping to evade you. The sacrifices you make in secret will one day bring a reward to you and to others. Make a point to focus your secret life into a fruitful activity. It may be one of the areas listed above, or it may be something unique to you. Whatever it is, don't allow your secret life to become purposeless or scattered. Use it for the glory of God.

Daily Confession

Father, I thank You that You cause me to be rewarded as I seek You in my secret life. Show me how to use my time wisely so that I may become all You plan for me.
