“Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.”
1 John 5:14-15 (NKJV)

Confidence is a crucial attribute in a believer’s life. Isn’t it interesting to see how much confidence we have in the natural things of life but when it comes to God we walk in doubt? It was never planned to be this way. Let me give you an example. You ask any American if they have or will ever starve and with a quick confident retort their response will be “no.” They are absolutely convinced that when they are hungry they can and will get food to satisfy their hunger. Not only are they confident that food will satisfy them, but they will stop whatever they are doing to satisfy their hunger. Why are we not that confident in God’s Word? We have God’s thoughts on paper. This comes from a God who cannot and will not lie; it is impossible for Him to lie. Yet, we continually doubt Him. His Word was true, is true, and will always be true regardless of how we feel or what we are going through. When we go to God in prayer, the Bible says we can be confident in this one thing; if we ask anything according to His will (His Word), we can confidently know that we HAVE what we prayed for. Notice it did not say “we will have” but it said “we have.” Whether it is finances, health, wisdom, peace, whatever the situation may be, find out His will and pray in accordance to the Word of God. Then, stand confident knowing God is faithful to perform what He promised.                                                                                                       CONFESSION of faith

Father, I thank You I am confident knowing that I can pray in line with Your Word and You hear me; I know that if You hear me I will have whatever I pray for. In Jesus mighty name; Amen

“But they delight in doing everything the Lord wants; day and night they think about His law. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season without fail. Their leaves never wither, and in all they do, they prosper.” Psalm 1:2-3 (NLT)

By embracing this principle, we understand the importance of maintaining God’s presence. I personally consider the morning hour as the gauge for the rest of my day. I always begin my day by pursuing God’s presence. I then carefully maintain His presence throughout the day. The progress and success of my day is methodically linked to the time I spend with God in the morning.A bowl of salt water sits upon every Passover table. What does it represent? The salty water represents the tears that were shed by those who made the trek to the Promised Land, the environment that would determine that the Jews were truly the people of God.We must surround ourselves with God’s presence, either by listening to the Word of God or playing worship music. Our environment determines our progress, just as getting to the Promised Land determined the progress of the Jews. As Christians, our desire should be to intimately know God, and to possess the character of Christ. To do so, we need to create the proper environment. While a farmer must cultivate the soil before planting seed, we must create an atmosphere in which our life can be shaped into the likeness of our Lord. We must make a commitment to create the environment that assures us of future progress.

Your CONFESSION of Faith

Father, I thank You that I do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand in the way of sinners, or join in with scoffers. My delight and desire is in Your Word, and I habitually meditate and orally recite Your Word day and night.  In Jesus name, Amen.

“For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.”
Proverbs 23:7 (NKJV)

On May 14, 1948, with searing bombs raining over Tel Aviv, Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion, proclaimed the establishment of the State of Israel. Much of the world thought it could never happen, but men like Moshe Dayan knew otherwise. With Arabian forces occupying the Jewish quarter of Jerusalem, the second phase of Israel’s War of Independence was in progress, armed with minds that painted pictures of celebrating the next Passover in every portion of Israel that genuinely belonged to them. What you think today becomes a reality tomorrow. But you must stay long enough under the Word of God for it to transform you, creating a better tomorrow. When you understand the truth behind the origin of negative thoughts, you have the know-how to take control over them. As you take control, you are then able to worship the Lord your God with your entire mind, and be free from guilt over wrong and negative thoughts that Satan brings your way.For generations upon generations, the State of Israel was simply a propitious thought. But when God began to work inside His people, their minds became canvases upon which divine ideas were vividly painted. All of God’s power and promises are at our disposal, but only those who pay the price and saturate their mind with the Word of God experience the blessings of God.

  CONFESSION of Faith

Father, I thank You that I am what I think in my heart. I think Your thoughts and I act in Your manner! In Jesus name; Amen!

“He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” John 14:21 (NKJV)

The Passover Seder is an ancient holiday meal symbolizing the Jews’ escape from Egypt. Because of their love for God, Jewish communities even today still celebrate this festive meal. The apostle James said, “You have faith and I have works, show me your faith without your works and I will show you my faith by my works.” Only when you obey what is written do Heaven and earth know your love for God. Jesus confirmed it saying, “So that the world may know that I love the Father, I do as He commanded.”True love can be plainly seen; false love only wants to be obnoxiously heard. God rarely verbally declared His love—He simply showed it. You will notice that the Bible says, “For God so loved the world that He gave…” (John 3:16). “For God commendeth His love towards us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). It doesn’t say that God verbally declared His love to His people. No, He demonstrated His love by sending a gift. Not just any gift might I add; a very costly gift—the best He had to offer. God proved His love through His Son. And we must prove our love, loving God as passionately as the Jews celebrate the Passover Seder, through our faithful obedience to His commands.

Your CONFESSION

Father, I thank You that I have Your commandments and I choose to keep them. I love You and continually prove my love to You by obeying Your commands. I believe it and I recieve it now; in Jesus name, Amen.

“Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather resolve this, not to put a stumbling block or a cause to fall in our brother's way.”
Romans 14:13 (NKJV)

Knowledgeable that his decision would affect the lives not only of his soldiers, but of the entire nation, on October 29, 1956, Moshe Dayan executed a daring, surprise attack near the southern end of the Suez Canal. With emphasis on the tactics and night maneuvers he learned from Captain Orde Wingate, within days, Israel’s aptly-called “Hundred-Hour War” with Egypt was over. Every decision we make brings with it a consequence, not only to our lives, but also to the lives of others. What we do affects other people. Before we articulate even one word, we must ask ourselves: What will the words I speak mean to this person? How will they precisely affect him or her?Asking such questions is known as discretion. Discretion puts you in the position of another, helping you understand the explicit effect of your words and actions. If we realize that what we are about to say will bring unnecessary pain or embarrassment, we should simply choose to keep quiet. The above passage tells us that if we ever do anything that hurts someone or causes him or her to sin, we must determine never to do it again. We cannot allow ourselves to be brought under the power of anything that will adversely affect another person’s life and their life’s direction. As we consider the affect we have on others, we are more conscious of the decisions we make.

 CONFESSION

Father, I thank You that I do not judge others. I do not cause my brother to fall or put a stumbling block in his way. The words I speak build up and edify, pointing others toward You. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

“He who has a slack hand becomes poor, but the hand of the diligent makes rich.”
Proverbs 10:4 (NKJV)

“The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty, but those of everyone who is hasty, surely to poverty.”
Proverbs 21:5 (NKJV)

Diligence requires discipline, hard work, and time.  In other words, it requires effort.  In order for us to delight in the promises of God, we must continually apply diligence to our efforts.  God's system is not set up in such a way that a one-time action produces lasting results.  God's way of progress requires diligence, faithfulness, and patience.  The same principle applies to any endeavor. We cannot expect to be physically fit by exercising one week out of the year. To see positive results we must continue for several months, and for lasting results, we must make exercise a part of our daily lifestyle!  All of us want to achieve more and do great things, but we will only experience true greatness by diligently applying God's principles to our lives.Diligence bridges the gap between discipline and reward.  Anyone can discipline himself for a day, but only discipline coupled with diligence causes us to lay hold of Heaven's reward.

 CONFESSION

Father, I thank You for the wisdom of Your Word. I refuse to have a slack hand knowing it leads to poverty. I walk in plenty and not in lack because I diligently apply Your principles to my life. Your Word is my light; in  Jesus name; Amen.
